As the Owner and Lead Designer of Studio617 I'm really proud of this offering. It took many years to come up with this methodology and these systems, although most looking at them now may never imagine what it took. It's easy to see simplicity in things after the fact.
I use to build small model buildings and communities related to my HO train sets as a kid growing up in Germany. As a teen in South Carolina, I futzed with car stereos, put in residential sprinkler systems, waited tables, delivered flowers and worked at a ski shop.
In College I was in the first class that was required to have our own PC in our dorm rooms as opposed to using the computer lab. That was a big deal and a boon to me I didn't appreciate until many years later. (expand for more)
In College, I earned a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's In Business Administration. I worked briefly in a Co-op Situation during College for General Electric Industrial Drive Systems doing CAD work for industrial power control compartments. Then I engaged in another co-op situation where I worked for about 2 years as a robotic end effector designer and process engineer for a Nuclear Service Company. After that I engaged in Corporate Consulting long enough to realize the racket it was. Then I went into Inside and Outside Sales with a linear bearing and automation company. During my first year there I created LOSTPED (google it). LOSTPED is an Acronym that is used to remember the key application categories needed to design any automation or robotics application. It is a global standard now.
I went self employed in 2000 and made a living renovating 100 to 150 year old row homes intermixed with full stack web development work for myself and other small businesses.
My specialty was New York Loft Style rehab work on one hand, and backend database systems for ERP and CRM requirements on the other. Programming was and is my passion. All else is just a creative outlet intended to earn a little money.
As far as database systems go, I built some systems for manufacturing management in the early 2000's that a Pfizer executive was told could not be built due to complexity. She put the price tag on it in the millions for just the parts that were similar to what they did for her. Not the rest of it. For a corporate environment I would agree that what I did was not doable. That is the beauty of working alone and/or with people who give you full trust and authority to digitally create.
I was in a position to convert my software work to Saas Systems but I chose not to. I didn't like the way the industry was going and I didn't want to loose control of my own systems. I'd like to share them and build them out more in open source environment someday. It seems we may be getting closer to that now than ever before.
From 2007 until 2015 my life turned into a commercial hell. I got trapped in the mortgage and real estate crisis and then my health fully left me to the point where I could not walk 50' by the year 2012. Then in 2015 I caught a Bank of America executive named Betty White engaging in a very organized underwriting fraud scheme that was then supported by a very corrupt Bank of American Corporate Attorney by the name of David Tinkler (kin to the South Carolina Tinklers/Tinkers) He and they destroyed my confidence in our regulated Banking system, our regulated Legal System, our Bar Oversight Systems, and our Government oversight systems.
From 2016 to 2025 it really didn't get any better. I got caught in the very corrupt vacation rental consolidation roll up and then the over regulation of long term rentals in Maryland. Then I was exposed to the grossest real estate industry and legal lobby fraud in California few will ever be able to imagine. If California is ever properly renamed Cali-Khazaria, you'll know it was me who drove that into being.
It's now the year 2025. I've had about 20 surgeries since the mid 2000's, I have a better feel for exactly how utterly corrupt a huge mass of country has become, and I am almost back to some sense of physical normalcy -- although nothing compared to my college days when I had both Achilles tendons working well, not just one.
In different news, to my knowledge, I'm currently the only person in the world who's built out a fully functional database driven general ledger in a spreadsheet environment. You don't know what we've been missing until you see that in action. I'm also working on a Commercial Education Platform that is free to all anonymously -- to undercut the current college business education scam. Many people are trying to do the same but none I've seen have the same approach. It's unique to say the least.
Reach out if you feel we can do business with these industrial stands or if you have interest in any of my other work.

Bryan
